The groundbreaking for the Women Build 2008 home was on May 10, 2008.
Volunteer participation:
Join us at the construction site once or come every week - the choice is yours! No previous construction experience is necessary. Start talking to your friends or coworkers to form a team and sign up for work date(s). Can't do construction or at least 4 hours on site? Contact the habitat office, we can always use new committee members, morning greeters or food providers. The Women Build Committee is focused on promoting all women teams which will be headed by our woman construction supervisor. Women Build teams will be on site from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Whether you've volunteered with Women Build or Santa Fe Habitat ever before, it would be wonderful to have your support and create a unified community through volunteering. The Women Build Committee is now meeting each month and looking for active committee members. Please contact Devin at devin@santafehabitat.org if you're interested in becoming part of the program, or would like to be included on our e-list.
